# Using an agent

Apply an agent to a call, by hand or automatically.

Once an agent is in your workspace, you can use it in two ways: run it on one specific call, or let it apply automatically according to your rules.

{% hint style="info" %}
Before you start: an agent imported from the library or built from scratch, and a call that has been recorded and transcribed. See the quickstart if that is not done yet.
{% endhint %}

## On one specific call

1. Under "My Recordings", open the call.
2. In the "AI Agents" bar at the top of the call page, click the agent you want to apply. Agents that are not shown are under "More".

What to expect: Praiz runs the agent and shows the result just below, for example a summary, a score or a list of signals. Copy the result with its formatting ("Copy") or run it again ("Refresh"): the new extraction appears without reloading the page.

Use the same method to apply an agent to a past call, one call at a time. There is no bulk apply on past calls.

### Finding and using the result

The result stays on the call page. It feeds your conversational database. Depending on your setup, Praiz also sends it by email or on Slack (see "Smart Actions") and syncs it into your CRM (see "CRM sync").

## Automatically

Set the agent up so that it applies automatically to the calls that match your criteria.

1. From the "AI Agents" section, click "Configure" on the agent card.
2. Open "Automation rules".
3. Turn on "Auto-apply agent".
4. Set the rules, which stack:
   * Teams: only calls from one or more teams.
   * Users: only calls from one or more users. Combined with "Teams", the rule targets calls from the chosen teams and from the chosen users. With no team and no user, the agent handles everyone's calls.
   * Phone calls only: only phone calls.
   * Video conference only: only video meetings.
   * Mobile app recordings only: only recordings made from the mobile app. The three source rules are exclusive: an agent limited to one source ignores calls from the other two.
   * Minimum duration (seconds): a minimum call length, in seconds (for example 300 to only process calls longer than 5 minutes).
   * Words in title: only calls whose title contains certain words. List every variant, including case and accents (Demo, Démo, Demonstration).
   * Meeting type: "All meetings" (the default), "Internal meetings only" or "External meetings only". A meeting is internal when every participant has one of your company email domains. See "Private mode" to declare those domains.

What to expect: the agent runs automatically on every new call that meets these conditions. Calls that are already recorded are not processed: apply the agent by hand if you need to. The agent card shows an "Automation" badge.
