# Smart Actions

Deliver an agent's output automatically after every call: by email, on Slack, every time or under a condition.

{% hint style="info" %}
Before you start: you must be an admin, and have an agent imported or created in your workspace. See [Using an agent](/ai-agents/using-an-agent.md).
{% endhint %}

## The three available actions

| Action               | What it does                                                                                                                                    |
| -------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| "Email participants" | Sends the output by email to every participant of the call, customers and prospects included. "Also send to the host" option for the organizer. |
| "Email myself" | Sends the output to the organizer of the call. |
| "Post to Slack" | Posts the output to a Slack channel. |

Filling in your CRM fields does not go through a Smart Action. It is set field by field in the agent's configuration. See [CRM sync](/automate/crm-sync.md).

## Set up a Smart Action

1. From the "AI Agents" section, click "Configure" on the agent concerned.
2. Open the "Smart Actions" tab.
3. In "Add an action", choose "Email participants", "Email myself" or "Post to Slack".
4. For an email, fill in the subject ("Email subject") if needed. The variables `{{agent}}` and `{{call_title}}` are replaced with the agent's name and the call title.
5. Add conditions if the action should not run on every call (see below). With no condition, Praiz runs the action every time the agent runs.
6. Turn the action on with the toggle.

What to expect: after every call that meets the conditions, Praiz automatically sends the agent's output to the recipients you chose.

## Conditional triggering

The "Conditions" section limits the action to the calls that meet every condition. Three types:

* "Title contains": the meeting title contains a word.
* "Transcript contains": the transcript contains a word.
* "Field value": a field extracted by the agent has a given value (for example "Competitors mentioned" contains "Modjo").

Example: Praiz posts to Slack only if the "Churn risk" field is "high", and not after every customer call.

{% hint style="info" %}
"Email participants" sends the output to the external people who were on the call. Keep this action for an agent designed to be read by a customer (summary, next steps), never for a scoring or coaching agent.
{% endhint %}

## Examples

| Situation                    | Smart Action                                           |
| ---------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| End of a sales call | The summary goes out by email to the participants |
| A competitor is mentioned | The signal is posted to the sales team's Slack channel |
| A churn signal is detected | A message goes to the CSM in charge of the account |
| End of a candidate interview | The summary is sent to you by email |

## Smart Actions or Recurring Insights

* A call triggers a Smart Action. It sends the output of that call right away.
* A Recurring Insight is periodic. It aggregates all of your conversations at a regular interval. See [Recurring Insights](/automate/recurring-insights.md).
