# Connect your calendar

Connect Google Calendar or Outlook so the bot joins your Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Webex meetings automatically.

Each user connects their calendar from the "Calendar" page.

## Before you start

* A paid license. A free license does not let you connect a calendar.
* A Google Calendar or Outlook calendar, with the same email address as your Praiz account.

## What the connection enables

* The bot joins the Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Webex meetings scheduled in your calendar, following your recording rules.
* Praiz links the meeting's participants to the call. That is how Praiz attaches the call to the contacts in your CRM.

No setup is needed in Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Webex. The bot asks to enter the meeting like a participant. The host admits or refuses it. The host can also remove the bot at any point during the meeting.

## Connect Google Calendar or Outlook

1. Open "Calendar" in the left menu.
2. Click "Connect Google" or "Connect Outlook", with the same email address as your Praiz account.
3. Allow access to your calendar.

What to expect: the "Upcoming meetings" list shows your next meetings, each with the "Record Call?" button.

## Set your recording preferences

On the same page, "Recording Preferences" section:

| Setting | Effect |

| "Send recordings to" | The workspace where your recordings are saved |
| "Record external meetings" | Meetings with at least one external participant |
| "Record internal meetings" | Meetings where every participant has your email domain |
| "Record meetings where I'm not the organizer" | Meetings where you are simply invited |
| "Record recurring meetings" | Recurring meetings |
| "Record confirmed meetings" | Only the meetings you have accepted |
| "Record only self hosted" | Only the meetings you organized |

The last two boxes restrict the others. If you check them all, some meetings are no longer recorded. To record all of your meetings, check only the first four boxes.

Click "Save". Then adjust meeting by meeting with "Record Call?". When a meeting is under way, the "Send bot now" button appears on its card to send the bot right away. Filter the list with "All" or "Recordable meetings".

## Disconnect the calendar

Click "Disconnect Calendar" at the bottom of the preferences. The bot no longer joins any meeting until the next connection.

## Limits

* One calendar per user.
* The bot only joins meetings where your email address is the organizer or a participant.
* A bot is dedicated to one meeting. A moved event keeps the same link. For a postponed meeting, create a new event.

## Troubleshooting

* The bot no longer comes: the calendar is probably disconnected. See [The bot no longer joins my meetings](/troubleshooting/the-bot-no-longer-joins-my-meetings.md).
* The connection fails: open Praiz in a private browsing window and start again, with your main address and not an alias.
* A meeting is not recorded: check the boxes under "Recording Preferences" and the meeting's "Record Call?" button.
