# The bot no longer joins my meetings

The Praiz bot no longer shows up in your video meetings, although it used to.

In most cases, the connection between your calendar and Praiz has dropped, often after a security update from Microsoft or Google. Praiz no longer sees your meetings and therefore no longer sends the bot.

## Check the calendar connection

1. Open "Calendar" in the left menu.
2. If the calendar is disconnected, click "Connect Outlook" or "Connect Google" and follow the steps.
3. Check that the meeting you expect appears in the list of upcoming meetings and that "Record Call?" is on for it.

What to expect: the list of upcoming meetings fills in and the bot joins the next checked meeting.

## If reconnecting fails

* Open Praiz in a private browsing window, sign in, then start the calendar connection again.
* Check that you are connecting the calendar with the same email address as your Praiz account, not an alias.

## Other common causes

* You are neither the organizer nor a participant of the meeting with your Praiz address: add yourself to the invitation.
* The meeting is filtered out by your recording rules under "Calendar": internal meetings, recurring meetings, meetings you did not organize. Check which boxes are checked.
* Your license is free: it does not let you connect a calendar or record. An admin can move you to a paid license from "Settings", "Users & Teams".
* The host did not admit the bot into the meeting. On a customer's video meeting, it is the customer who admits it.

## For a meeting happening right now

If the meeting is starting now, send the bot by hand: "Send bot now" under "Calendar", or "Call the bot" in the left menu with the meeting link. See "[Call the Bot](/capture-and-transcribe/record-your-conversations/call-the-bot.md)".
